Sue Curtis

Sue Curtis was the Chair of the St. Croix County Democrats from October 2021 up until January 2023, when she returned to her original position as Communication Co-Chair. Sue will be working alongside Pam Fricke in communications.

As a native of Wisconsin, Sue and her husband have lived and enjoyed the beauty and quality of life in St. Croix County since 1983. They have two grown sons who call Wisconsin their home. Sue has spent over 40 years dedicating her life’s work to the education of young people and to the incredible educators/administrators that teach them. She has worked in area schools as a teacher, reading specialist, administrator, and educational coach. Her work has focused on equity and equal access for all with an emphasis on students with special needs. She has earned an educational doctorate in Organizational Leadership, Policy, and Development from the University of Minnesota.

During the warmer months, Sue spends her free time in her perennial gardens and woodland property enjoying nature. Sue believes that it is important to keep striving to maintain clean water, fresh air, environmental precious lands, and protections for wildlife.
