Vote

Your vote is your voice—make it heard. Here’s how.

  • Review voter deadlines

Registering to vote or voting absentee? Perhaps you’re a military, overseas, hospitalized, or indefinitely confined voter? Find your election deadlines.

New to the area or a first-time voter? You can register online or in person before the election—or at your polling place on Election Day.

  • Preview your ballot

Be an informed voter. Review a sample ballot, so you’re familiar with each race and referendum you’ll be voting on.

  • Confirm your voter ID

The State of Wisconsin requires you to present a photo ID to vote. Find out if yours is valid—and, if not, how to get one.

  • Vote absentee by mail

Fast, simple, and convenient. Request your absentee ballot online—and return it by mail before the deadline.

  • Vote absentee in person

Request your absentee at your municipal clerk’s office—and vote right on the spot during the early voting period.

  • Track your ballot

Did you vote absentee by mail? Track your ballot to ensure it was accepted by your clerk’s office.

  • Vote in person on Election Day

Polling places will be open from 7 am to 8 pm. Don’t forget your valid voter ID—and, remember, if you’re in line at 8 pm, you can still cast your ballot.

  • Find your polling place

Want to vote on Election Day? Just enter your address to discover your polling location.
