Become a poll worker

Serving as a poll worker is a meaningful way to ensure St. Croix County elections are fair and accessible. Will you help?

  • Check-In Voters

Confirm voters are registered, have valid ID, and are at the correct polling location.

  • Provide Direction

Instruct voters on how to properly complete their ballots and deposit them into the voting machine.

  • Process Ballots

Confirm absentee ballots have been properly completed and feed them into the voting machine, ensuring every vote is counted.

  • I first volunteered to be a poll worker in 2020 when I read that Covid was driving many poll workers away and causing a shortage. Three years later I’m still volunteering because it is an easy and simple way to serve the community and see for yourself how elections work.

    Chris H.

  • My experience being an actual part of democracy has been very rewarding, and (for the most part) voters are very appreciative and thankful.
