Paul Hambleton

Paul is the Chair of the St. Croix County Democratic Party. He previously served as Communication chair working closely with the news media and the Party’s communications team.

Paul is a retired special education and English teacher who lives in Hudson. In addition to teaching, Paul spent several years working as an advocate, organizer, and manager for education unions in Wisconsin, Maine, and Idaho. He also served a leadership role in education policy, legislation, and implementation when he served as Chief Academic Officer for the Maine Department of Education.

Paul comes from a family of educators. In addition to enjoying grandchildren, helping his parents, and restoring an old house in Hudson, Paul remains active in supporting public education opportunities for all. He believes public education is a cornerstone of our democracy and economy, especially with the challenges our state and country face in coming years as we manage climate change and other crucial challenges. Paul believes we can develop civic-minded communities to work together to solve problems rather than get bogged down in partisan division.
